Oil Smart® Pump System is now available!

EBARA Fluid Handling, a leading provider of water and wastewater pumps, pump products and services, has added the Oil Smart^® Pump System to its packaged pump system line.

The Oil Smart^® is a complete pump system that incorporates the best selling EBARA sump models EPD and Optima with controls and alarm sensors that differentiate between water and oil, allowing for the responsible discharge of water without harmful contamination from oily substances. The systems are ideal for elevator sumps, parking garages, underground vaults, power plants, industrial sumps, transformer containment areas and substations where oily substances can generally occur.

The Oil Smart^® systems are available in both single and three phase configurations with pumps from 1/3 up to 1-1/2 HP, flows up to 86 GPM and head to 61 feet. With three models from basic corded plug-in to hard-wired upgrade NEMA 4X simplex control panels, the system components include the Oil Smart^® Pump Switch that provides the built-in on/off to pump and the Liquid Smart Alarm Switch that differentiates between water and oil with alarm. The operation of the sensor probe detects high oil levels or oily substances when present in a sump or vault. The system switch is adjusted to on/off and is triggered when oil is detected, activating the alarm and indicator lights. The alarm will sound with oil detection, high water occurrences and in the event of power loss.

The system is compliant with state and federal regulations and local building and safety codes including in accordance with ASME A17.1, reducing the risk of expensive cleanup costs and fines. The EBARA Oil Smart^® Systems come standard with local, lockable disconnect on the single and three phase panels, providing safety and saving time and money during installation as it meets most local code requirements. The Oil Smart^® system is UL listed and CSA certified, tested prior to shipment and carries an industry standard three-year (limited) warranty.
